Before you eat an apple, it is just an apple.
After you eat it, it becomes part of your body.
But when it comes out as poo in the toilet,
you do not point to it and say, “This is me.”
So, are the apple, you, and the poo the same or different?
This impermanence is the true meaning of emptiness.
Things seem real, but they keep changing.
In this emptiness, in this change,
how can we come back to this moment—
to our correct situation, correct relationship, and correct function?
