Korean Zen Buddhism has been spread throughout the world by the great vow of Zen Master Seung Sahn Haengwon. For the past 23 years, countless practitioners from all over the world have visited Musangsa, established on Gyeryongsan Mountain in Korea as a training ground, to practice Zen Buddhism. They have come to realize the truth through the great master’s teachings, and continue to do so.

Zen Buddhism, a path guided by the Buddha’s teachings, has reached people all over the world thanks to the vision of Zen Master Seung Sahn Haengwon. For the past 23 years, Musangsa, a training center nestled on Korea’s Gyeryongsan Mountain, has welcomed countless seekers from across the globe. They come to practice Zen Buddhism and find deeper truths through the Master’s wisdom, and this journey continues today.

However, we’ve faced challenges in fully welcoming everyone who wishes to practice. Our Zen halls and accommodations are limited, and our facilities need improvement to actively support all practitioners. Despite these hurdles, we are committed to carrying forward Zen Master Seung Sahn’s mission to share the Dharma. To do this, building new Zen halls and accommodations – spaces for everyone’s practice – is essential, and we are actively working towards this goal.
