Chanting is a practice of using our voice and heart to become clear, purify our emotions and share our compassionate energy with all beings. Traditional Buddhist chanting kidos (‘energy way’) and ceremonies are held at Musangsa throughout the year.
Why We Chant
Monthly Kwanseum Bosal KidoEvery 4th Sunday of the month 10am - 12 noon in the Buddha Hall.
Kwan Seum Bosal means ‘Bodhisattva of Compassion.” The Chinese characters literally mean, ‘one who hears the sound of the world.’ In Korean Buddhist tradition, Kwan Seum Bosal is the emanation of our compassion mind. Chanting this name is a practice that helps us open our own compassionate heart so that we can connect with all beings and help them.
