Recently, fake videos have been circulating on YouTube and other online platforms, disguised as actual Dharma talks by illegally cloning and synthesizing the image and voice of Zen Master Seung Sahn.<\/p>\n

This is a deceptive act that distorts the authentic Zen philosophy and teachings of the Great Master. We earnestly urge all followers to be especially careful not to be misled by these videos or share them with others.<\/p>\n

Musangsa is currently preparing firm legal action and an official response in cooperation with our legal representatives. While these measures are underway, we kindly ask you to temporarily refrain from individually reporting the videos on YouTube or leaving comments.<\/p>\n

If you happen to come across a suspicious fake video, please do not search for it or click (play) it out of curiosity. Simply sending the link (URL) of the video to the temple office for our reference will be of great help in collecting evidence.<\/p>\n

Musangsa will do its utmost to fully protect the precious teachings and honor of the Great Master, and to ensure that all of you can continue your spiritual practice with peace of mind.<\/p>\n

‘Only Don’t Know’ and ‘Just Do It’\u2014the words are different, but they point to the exact same thing.<\/p>\n

The Sixth Patriarch compared this to a lamp. When a candle is lit, both the flame and its light appear together. They are completely inseparable, yet we distinguish them by calling one the ‘flame’ and the other the ‘light.’ If the flame is the substance, then the light is its function.<\/p>\n

It is exactly the same with your mind. If your ‘Only Don’t Know’ is very clear, and you just use your eyes, the truth appears – you can see clearly. It is really that simple. When your mind becomes empty and your ‘Don’t Know’ (substance) is perfectly clear, you can ‘Just Do It’ (function). What you see, hear, smell, or think becomes the truth.
