Yuanwu Keqin (圓悟克勤), also known as Engo Kokugon in Japanese, was a prominent Chan (Zen) monk who lived from 1063 to 1135. He is best known for compiling the Blue Cliff Record (Biyan Lu), a classic collection of Zen koans and commentaries. This work has been highly influential in the Zen tradition.
